Free Physicals

Parents and students,

Free Physicals will be given on May 5, 2012 at the Ochsner Covington Clinic. All members of the band and Starlties Flag Team must have a physical to participate in band. Students MUST use the physical form that can be found in this post and on the Forms tab on this website. All physicals must be turned in to Ms. Lizana by July 1, 2012. Any students who gets their phusical turned in by June 1, 2012 will get extra water break time during band camp.

LMEA Large Ensemble Performance Assessment

Congratulations to the Lakeshore Titan Band!!!! Yesterday the Titan Band performed for judges at the 2011-2012 Louisiana Music Educators Association’s Large Ensemble Performance Assessment and received a ratings of Excellent both on stage and in sight reading. All of the students’ hard work and dedication to the band are really paying off.

Thank you to all parents and friends of the Lakeshore Titan Band. Without your support we would not have been able to receive such a high rating.

Fundraiser Orders Are In

Calendar Changes

Parents and students,
A few changes have been made to our weekly schedule for this week. They are as follows:

1) Starlites practice will be held on Thursday March 1 from 3 to 4 pm.
2) Concert Band Practice will be held on Tuesday February 28, 2012 from 3 to 4 pm.
3) Reminder: All fundraising forms and money are due on March 1, 2012.

Olympia Parade Information

Parents and students,

Thank you so much for all the hard work that went into the Krewe of Slidellians Parade this weekend. It was a huge success for everyone involved.

This week we will be marching in the Krewe of Olympia that rolls through Downtown Covington. Call time has changed a bit – students and chaperones need to meet at Lakeshore for 3:30 on Saturday 2/11/12. Please remember to bring your small water and snack donations by Friday of this week.

The parade starts at 6:00 pm so we should be back at LHS by 9:30 pm. Please make sure you are timely in picking up your students after the parades as they will be very tired.

Play off Game

Parents and students,

The LHS Titan Band will be attending the school’s first ever football play off game on November 11, 2011. We will be leaving directly after school on Friday so please make sure your son or daughter has money to eat and all of their uniform accessories at school with them on Friday. Please check your email for more information.

Just a reminder: This is a mandatory event for ALL band and color guard students. We are representatives of the school and it is our duty to be there to support our team and our school.
