Lakeshore High School Titan Band

Parents,

 Due to the great success and efforts of the band, rehearsal after school on Tuesday has been cancelled.  We will pick up with after school rehearsals on Tuesdays after Mardi Gras break!

Parents and students,

Special people make an organization great! Our band is lucky to have dedicated musicians, parents, and faculty to help create the resources and opportunities we need to have a special organization. 

I want to thank all of you for the outstanding job at the Krewe of Eve Parade Friday night.  I have heard from people across the Parish how great our band sounded and looked!  This could not have been done without the hard work of the band students in and out of rehearsal.  Their positive attitudes and hard work has instilled a great sense of pride for me and this organization.

A big thank you to all of the parents who volunteered to help make this parade run as smoothly as it did.  Your continued commitment to the band will ensure that our students continue to excel in music!  Thank you again so much for your time and energy!

Parents and students,

I hope everyone had a great holiday break, but its back to business as usual starting January 4, 2010.  Please remember to check the website for any updates and/or changes that may happen in the Spring Semester. Your students will be given two copies of the calendars on the first day we return to school.  This way they can keep a copy in their band binder and you can have one for the fridge at home.

I am very excited about the upcoming band events for the Spring Semester.  We are scheduled to participate in the Eve Parade, Honor Bands, Band Festival, Spring Concert, and Band Awards Night!  Then after all of those events pass its time to prep for the 2010 Football season and half time show.

As always we will need volunteers to help plan and work at all of these events and help fit the students in uniforms for the parades.  If you have any sewing experience or free time to help put the students in their uniforms that would be greatly appreciated.  Please contact me via email at jessica.lizana@stpsb.org and let me know when you are free so we can put it on the calendar.  Thank you so much for your support!

Congratulations to all students, parents, faculty and staff of Lakeshore High School for a spectacular Christmas Concert! Great job guys!

Please make sure your students arrive dressed and ready to go in the band room at 6:15. This should be a great Christmas Concert! Look forward to seeing you all here.

Tyler and Baylie were both selected by Southeastern Louisiana University to participate in the 2009 SLU Invitational Honor Band. Both Baylie and Tyler will be performing in a concert at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday December 5, 2009 at SLU.

The long wait for the band uniforms is over!!! All of the uniforms arrived while we were on Thanksgiving Break. We will assign uniforms to each band student after Christmas break in preparation for parade season.

They're finally here!

   The First Annual Lakeshore High School Holiday Concert is right around the corner.  Please make sure that your son/daughter has their dress black clothes, dress shoes, and instruments ready and prepared for the concert on Wednesday December 9, 2009 at 7 p.m.  If you have any questions about the attire please email me asap so we can make sure your kids have the right things to wear.

  Also we have two rehearsals left for Jazz Band and one Dress Rehearsal for Concert and Jazz band left.  The dates and times are as follows:

       Jazz Band- December 3 and December 7 from 3 to 4 p.m. 

      Jazz and Concert Band- December 8 from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

Please don’t forget that ALL rehearsals are mandatory.
