Krewe of Eve Parade

Parents and students,
The Krewe of Eve Parade is this Friday night February 25, 2011. Students may stay after school if they have no way back to school by 4:30 pm. Ms. Lizana is placing an order for sandwiches through Subway and students need to bring $5.00 for their sandwiches, drinks, and chips/cookies by Wednesday February 22, 2011.

If you signed up to be part of the Chaperones that march with the band please be here by 5:00 at the latest. If you are donating water please try to get the mini bottles of water. They are small enough that the kids can drink the whole thing at one time and not have to share bottles of water. All donations for water, peanut butter sandwiches, etc. can be dropped off in the band room on Thursday and Friday of this week. Any questions please contact Jessica Lizana at jessica.lizana@stpsb.org or 985-624-5046 ext. 222

Krewe of Eve

Parents and students,

On March 25th the LHS Titan Band will be participating in the Krewe of Eve Parade in Mandeville, LA.  Since we have an early call time, I am working on having dinner here for the kids so they can eat a good meal before we hit the road.  I will let you know what they can order, how much it will costs, etc. by the end of this week.  Please keep checking the website and your email for more information.

Also, if you can donate a case of the mini water bottles, peanut butter or turkey sandwiches the kids would greatly appreciate it.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  985-624-5046 ext. 222 or jessica.lizana@stpsb.org

Thanks!

Christmas Concert Update!!!!

Parents and students,
Thursday, December 9, 2010, is our Second Annual Christmas Concert. Please be aware that the start time for the concert has changed due to a conflict with Monteleone Junior High School’s Christmas Concert. We will begin our concert at 7:30 instead of 7 in order to give parents who have children in the JR and SR Highs the opportunity to watch their children perform. Please make sure your students are in their concert black clothes and in the band room by 7:00 pm. Can’t wait to kick off the holidays with family and friends of the Lakeshore Titan Band!

City of Mandeville Winter on The Water Parade

Parents and Students,

The Lakeshore Titan Band has been asked to participate in the City of Mandeville Winter on the Water Parade this year.  All Band and Flag Team Members will need to meet at LHS Band Room on December 11, 2010 for 1:45 pm.  Students need to have their band shirt, black socks, black band shoes, and black band gloves on and ready to go when they arrive at school.  This is a very short parade, but will give the band a lot of p.r. Especially since Benny Grunch and The Bunch will be playing at the end of the parade route!  The parade will start at 4:00 pm and should be over no later than 6-7pm that evening.  We will need about5-6 parent volunteers to march with the band down the route .  I am not sure whether or not we need the truck to follow us during this parade, or if we are even allowed to have it in the parade with us, but I’ll check into this.  Thank you so much for your continued support of the LHS Band and our community.

Please contact Susan Brady and the Titan Band Boosters to sign up to march with the band in the parade.

Thanks!
