Lakeshore High School Titan Band

Parents and students,

Friday September 3, 2010 is our first football game of the 2010 Season.  Please make sure you have your band shoes, long black socks, gym shorts, and a plain black or grey t shirt, music, flip book, lyre, reeds, etc. ready for the game Friday.  Students will NOT be allowed to stay after school on Friday to wait for the game.  Students must report to the band room by 5:45 Friday evening.  I hope to see all of you there as the band debuts our first half time show-”The Music of Journey”!

 We are in need of helpers in the concession stands and in the stadium with the students to help distribute ice and water for the football game this week.  If you can help in any way, please contact me, Jessica Lizana, at jessica.lizana@stpsb.org.  Thanks and Go Titans!

For students who have already received their letter in band a representative will be here on Thursday September 2, 2010 after school to take orders for letter-man jackets.  Students must have their letter and order form with them, filled out, and a check or cash at the time of fitting for the full amount of the jacket.  Order forms will be sent home with all sophomores and juniors tomorrow.  If you have any questions please contact Ms. Lizana at

I have been watching the weather like crazy lately to keep an eye on Tropical Storm Bonnie.  As of right now Band Camp is still on for Monday July 26, 2010.  If for some reason St. Tammany Parish School Board says that we are not able to have any functions due to the Tropical Storm I will send out an email to all of you and will put a post on this website.  Please keep checking this website for all updates, information, and notifications.

The band shoe fitting which was scheduled for today, June 10, 2010, has been canceled.  As soon as we have a date when the shoe guy can come again I will let you know.

Important Band Camp Dates

There will be a mandatory parent and student meeting in the LHS Titan Band Rehearsal Hall at 7:00 pm on May 21, 2010.  We will be discussing calendar dates for the summer, band fees, required equipment for the upcoming school year as well as parent sign ups to work both of our concession stands, fundraising, field crew, band camp fruit breaks, and more.  Please bring your calendar and students along for the meeting.

  Please join the Titan Band and Choir for our first annual Awards Night at 7:00pm in the LHS Cafeteria.  Students will be presented with awards for their hard work and dedication to the Band and Choir.  Please join us after the ceremony for some light refreshments.

All band rehearsals are cancelled this week. Make sure you are here for rehearsal next week and don’t forget to be here at 5:30 on Thursday for the first annual Powder Puff Football Game!
